Running resistance analysis of conveying machinery traction components

In order to correctly select the size of the traction member and other parts on the conveyor, and to determine the required power of the drive device on the conveyor, it is necessary to know the maximum tension of the traction member and its outgoing traction force. The traction force transmitted by the transmission device to the traction member is consumed to overcome the running resistance of the transported goods and the running resistance of the traction member on the straight line section of the line, as well as the running resistance of the traction member on the curved section.

1. The running resistance of the traction member on the straight line section of the line

The traction member is divided into the traction member installed on the sliding support, the traction member installed on the roller, the traction member that moves along the support roller, and the traction member equipped with the sliding scraper.

2. The running resistance of the traction member on the curve section of the line

The running resistance of the traction member when it runs around the driven wheel, including the frictional resistance in the driven wheel bushing, and the resistance due to its rigidity when the traction member winds into and out of the driven wheel.
