Conveyor belt handling and storage rules

1. Hoisting

When using a crane to move the conveyor belt, it is best to use ropes and steel rods for lifting. First pass a steel rod through the hole of the belt mandrel, and hang the rope with the support rod at both ends of the steel rod to hoist the belt. When hoisting, be careful not to damage the edge of the conveyor belt with the rope. In the absence of steel rods and struts, a fabric rope with sufficient strength can be lifted through the hole of the belt mandrel, taking care to protect the belt edge.

Do not insert the sling into the reel for lifting, and do not wrap the rope around the reel for hoisting, to prevent the reel from slipping to one side, so as to avoid personal injury. It can also be lifted by a forklift with sufficient carrying capacity, but the surface of the conveyor belt must not be damaged.

Try not to roll the belt roll. If it must be rolled, please clean the ground before rolling to prevent the conveyor belt from being punctured or hit by hard objects. The rolling direction should be consistent with the rolling direction of the conveyor belt, and do not roll in the opposite direction to prevent the belt from loosening.

When the conveyor belt is unloaded, it should be lowered freely, gently and slowly to touch the ground, and do not fall on one side. Do not open the package at will when handling.

2. Transportation and storage

During transportation and storage, be careful not to come into contact with pollutants such as acid, alkali, oil, and water, and keep away from heat sources; avoid direct sunlight and rain and snow; keep the storage temperature at -10℃～40℃, and the relative humidity should be kept at Between 50% and 80%; do not squeeze and fix firmly during transportation and storage, so as to avoid damage caused by rolling of the coil; long-term storage of the coiled conveyor belt should be rolled once a month to avoid long-term squeezing at the point of stress If the conveyor belt is damaged, be sure to pay attention to safety when rolling to avoid injury.
